•1 out of 3 runaways are approached by a trafficker within the first 48 hours.

Invite us to come speak at your school or public event. We educate on prevention strategies to our youth and community. Abuse isn't seasonal, which is why building our year-round transitional housing is so important to rescue children out of desolate situations.

There are so many people that need a helping hand in the world. Our focus for now will be women. We wish to help women from differnet hardships get back on their feet. Ultimately we wish to help get girls out of the growing sex-trafficking problem in America.

We will help women coming out of prison, physically abused women and women that struggle with substance abuse. We help reunite women with their children and help them function in our society. We will offer empowerment training and life skills training which include: cooking, budgeting, parenting, spiritual strentghening , substance abuse prevention and self esteem building.

There are limited resources in the Jefferson County area. Please help us build a safe haven for women that just need someone to show them love and respect; exposing  them to a freedom beyond the lives they have known - See more at: http://www.youcaring.com/nonprofits/help-us-help-the-lost-and-hurting-/236086#.VDGXyvPU2As.facebook

Our founder and Executive Director, Doreen Page is a survivor of 32 years of child sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. When Doreen got out of the life and learned that there was life beyond being exploited she started to help others find their way too.

Doreen and her husband started their personal ministry helping individuals with addictions and other life afflictions. Through this journey and process, Doreen learned more that many of the individuals she worked with, like her, became victims in their youth to child sexual exploitation, some commercial and others not.

Doreen then became connected with other passionate members in the community that wanted to see a solution to commercial sexual exploitation of children. Finding Grace Ministries was born in 2015. Doreen began to share her story in the community and realized that not many understood much about abuse, how it happens or why. Through networking and sharing what we do we found that we could combat sex slavery by educating our youth before they fall victim.

Doreen currently is pursuing her degree in Social Work to arm herself with the knowledge in aim of leading Finding Grace Ministries with evidenced based practices along side her lived experiences. Doreen is a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist licensed by the Department of Mental Health and a trauma awareness trainer.
